Dr. Aldo Marcelo Benites-Palomino

Aldo is a vertebrate paleontologist focused on the evolution of aquatic mammals, especially fossil marine mammals from South America. His research uses comparative anatomy and phylogenetic approaches to study evolutionary relationships, functional adaptations, and paleoecology, with an emphasis on Miocene cetaceans. Outside research, he enjoys cycling, playing guitar, listening to heavy music, and attending music festivals.
