One of the primary highlights of the program is learning how to conduct your own research. Students of the master program will be actively involved in the research that the staff is conducting - both during the progam and as a student helper (HiWI). Students will also have the opportunitiy to engage in projects that other employees of the Palaeobiology at the GeoZentrum are doing.
The Research Project
Over the course of the Research Project Implementation class, students learn how to conduct their research in a specific subfield - based on project ideas that are put forward primarily by the PhD students and PostDocs of the GeoZentrum. The students will be guided through the process of implementing that from the very beginnings to writing it up in a paper. These research projects can sometimes develop into actual published research.
We intend to share some of the earlier research project.
In the last semester of the course you are expected to perform original research and write a master thesis.
Here will be a list of completed master theses.
